Joanna Ramos, 11, got in a fist fight after school with a fellow
classmate in Long Beach over a boy. After the fight, she was crying and
complaining that she had a headache. She told her friends and aunt Celina that her
head hurt. Her mother rushed Joanna to the hospital. She had no visible
injuries, but she underwent surgery and was put in intensive care. Just two
hours later, at 5:50pm, she stopped breathing. She was pronounced dead just
after 9 pm after failed attempts at reviving her. Officers say that the cause
of her death is ‘undetermined’. The cause of her death is still being
determined and no arrests have been made.
This is so sad!
ReplyDeleteWow. That must be horrible to not know what your child died from...
ReplyDeleteI doubt the fight over the boy had anything to do with the death, but that is so sad! :(
ReplyDeleteI think the fight with whomever it was played a big part on her death. I read another article about this same story and it said that she had "forced trauma to the head" so, she could have been hit in the head multiple times causing her head to hurt. This is super sad and I feel really bad for that poor little girl and her family. :'(
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kayla. The fight was a physical one, and it was afterward that she complained of the headache. It sounds as though the other girl probably hit her in the head in some way that caused a great deal of damage.
